Siduri

Siduri is the Babylonian Goddess of wine. In Babylonian mythology, Siduri held the wine of eternal life. Siduri is also the realized goal of two wine lovers - Dianna and Adam Lee. Sharing a passion for Pinot Noir, Dianna and Adam produced a small quantity of Pinot Noir from the 1994 vintage. This first wine met with great critical success and led Siduri to search for additional high quality Pinot Noir grapes. Siduri now produces Pinot Noir from vineyards as far north as Oregon's Willamette Valley and, beginning in 2000, as far south as Santa Barbara County's Santa Rita Hills.
At Siduri we hold to a basic set of principles. Although it is necessary to be able to adapt to new circumstances each and every vintage, we have found that these principles hold true every year.
We believe that great wine is made in the vineyard. Only with great grapes can we produce great wines. To this end, we purchase the majority of our fruit by the acre rather than by the ton. We also believe in minimal interventionist winemaking. Read more …
Most importantly, we believe that wine should be a pleasure to drink. If you don't like the way a wine tastes then why purchase it? Siduri Pinot Noirs are made to be enjoyed with good friends and good food. We hope you enjoy Siduri Pinot Noirs for many years to come.

Much like last year, we believe the 2010 Siduri Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir is our most complex Appellation blend. Rich red fruits mix with hints of dried herbs and pine needles. These flavors are supported by lively acidity and just enough tannins to make for a mouthwatering bottle of wine. more
