Mostly ‘03 with some reserve wines, disgorged 11/07, all 1er Cru; this again is an impeccable old-style ripe-vintage Champagne; 2003’s toast and burning hay and sweet corn; the wine’s a little softer than last year’s, less confiture and more meaty, pheasanty and truffley, but seductive stuff that’s all too easy to drink. – all 1er Cru.
Wine Advocate
The NV Brut Cuvee Prestige reveals soaring aromatics that lead to a rich expression of apricots, apples, orange peel, flowers and spices. The wine offers superb persistence and a long, refreshing finish. The April, 2007 15, 2008 disgorgement is all premier cru juice, mostly 2003, but because of the lower production that year this bottling saw the addition of 25-30% reserve wines, which is slightly higher than normal. There can be little doubt that the higher amount of reserve wines has given this Cuvee Prestige a remarkable level of complexity. This is a great effort from Goutorbe, and a bottle that has never failed to deliver the goods on the multiple times I have tasted it. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2012.

Wine Enthusiast
A wine with some rich maturity in its aromas, which goes right through the rounded, ripe palate. It has some power from the Pinot Noir element in its blend, with white fruit flavors and intensity. A mature wine, rich and satisfying, that’s good with food.

Certified organic vineyards must meet Demeter"s additional criteria for a period of one year before earning the designation "biodynamic."
Sustainably Grown
Sustainable practices incorporate organic standards and may exceed them and include ecologically and socially sound business practices such as fair pay for farm workers and energy conservation.
Screw Cap
Wines sealed with a screw cap as opposed to a cork, which experts report protects and preserves wine more effectively than does a cork, while also eliminating the possibility of cork taint.
No Sulfites
All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.

Wine Spectator is a lifestyle magazine that focuses on wine and wine culture. It publishes 15 issues per year with content that includes news, articles, profiles, and general entertainment pieces.
