Domaine La Milliere Châteauneuf du Pape Vieilles Vignes 2007
Perfect clarity of color showing dark ruby garnet. Aromas are bright and intense with spring flowers, mandarin, spice, raspberry kirsch and smoky herbs. The palate is ultra seductive with sweet fruit balanced by the perfect (and I mean that) integration of tannin. The finish is long with dark fruit and spice. This is an appealing 2007 to drink now but will certainly age through 2020. I suspect the reason this wine doesn’t have a higher rating is that both Parker and Tanzer like their CDPs to be extracted and concentrated. This wine has much more elegance than we’ve seen in the past. Just to be sure I’m being perfectly clear, this wine is exceptional. It is a knockout, seductive, CDP that deserves a home in everyone’s cellar!
Wine Advocate
The beautiful 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Vieilles Vignes (from 80- to 100-year-old vines) is a blend of 60% Grenache and the rest equal parts Syrah, Mourvedre, Cinsault, and Counoise aged in concrete tanks and old wood foudres. An effusively fruity, exuberant effort, it reveals plenty of juicy black currants and black cherries intermixed with lavender, licorice, incense, and forest floor. Full-bodied, dense, and seductive with silky tannins and a long, lush, opulent finish, it is impossible to resist at present, and should continue to evolve for 10-12+ years.

All wines naturally contain some sulfites, however wines that contain less than 10 parts per million sulfites are not required to include "Contains Sulfites" on their labels.
