Carpe Diem Firepeak Vineyard Pinot Noir 2005
This particular vintage exhibits lots of nice flavors of red berries, high tone fruit, and bright acidity with soft and supple tannins. Our Burgundian Pinot Noir is elegant and refined with layers of black cherries and a light smokiness and spices cinnamon and sage. The dense ruby color is as bold as the cherry and spice bouquet. True to the Burgundian style and to the varietal, the wine has an earthiness to it that graduates into bright and bold red fruits. This wine continues to unfold up until the smooth finish. Wine Enthusiast The ’05, as befits the cool vintage, is very dry and crisply elegant, with crushed cherry, raspberry and root beer flavors boosted by a squirt of lime juice, enriched by sweet vanilla and oak.
