Badia a Coltibuono

Golden amber, brilliant color. It's aroma hints at honey, toasted almond and vanilla. Sweet and rich taste, balanced by vibrant acidity that enhances the clean, rich and elegant taste. Candied fruit, citrus, apricot and dried figs are the dominant notes. Very long persistent finish.

Wine Advocate

The 2002 Vin Santo del Chianti Classico is a floral, feminine wine with attractive suggestions of candied apricots, flowers and spices. Medium in body, it offers outstanding length and lingering notes of roasted nuts on the finish. Anticipated maturity: 2008-2011.

Score: 90. —Antonio Galloni, June 2008.
