Alexander Valley Vineyards Estate Syrah 2003
A medium bodied wine with an intense opaque purple/black color. Aromas of intense ripe fruit, including blueberry, blackberry and black cherry, are given additional nuance by a slight earthiness and traces of violet. On the palate, blackberries and rich cassis dominate. Framed by vanillin oak, the dark fruits carry through on the palate to firm yet well-integrated tannins and a long finish. |
