From the Wine Shop
As if this month wasn't moving fast enough, we've lost an entire weekend thanks to a record snowfall. We apologize for the inconsistent hours this past weekend. Most of our staff lives north of Fairfield and experienced a record amount of snow. We are back and ready to go for this weekend starting with a terrific lineup for this week's edition of Friday Night Wine Down. We hope you'll join us. Peter tasted the last round of Burgundies this week and will begin to turn the focus southeast toward Australia. We're going to revisit our friends down under and see what's happening. We just read that some estates have already begun their 2013 harvest. Before we turn our full attention to Australian wines, we have one more amazing Burgundy tasting scheduled for February 22nd. The 214th edition of Friday Night Wine Down will be quite a treat. Put it on your calendar now.


From the Kitchen
Well, now that the winter menu is in full swing at Nicholas Roberts Gourmet Bistro, Chef Rob has turned his attention to the Spring season. Dates are already booking for Mother's Day, Graduations, First Communions and Easter. Please be sure to submit your proposal requests early. The earlier the requests are submitted, the better we can accommodate special needs and requests. You can submit your requests by sending an email to chef@nrbistro.com or calling (203) 229 - 0035. Of course, you can pop in for dinner on Friday or Saturday and talk to Rob then. That's a delicious way to plan a party!
