2007 Fontodi Flaccianello $135- 95 pts WS and WA- “Utterly iressistable” There is no question the 2007 is seamless, opulent and full-bodied.”

2010 Giuseppe Rinaldi Tri Tine Barolo $150- “Lovely sweet perfume combines strawberry and brown spices. The palate offers a compellingly sweet red berry syrup flavor (I would have guessed it had some residual sugar) that's given terrific juicy definition and lift by firm acidity.” 95 pts Tanzer

2010 Giuseppe Rinaldi Brunate Barolo $170- 95 pts Tanzer- “Decadent aromas of raspberry and smoke. Concentrated and liqueur-like, offering lovely sweetness but even more depth and backbone than the Cannubi-S. Lorenzo-Ravera. Harmonious acidity and big, dusty, leathery tannins”

2010 Vietti Barolo Brunate $170- 96 pts WA-Wonderful energy and restrained sweetness here, not to mention huge material to support its serious tannic spine. Finishes with outstanding mineral persistence.

2004 Fontodi Chianti Classico Riserva Vigna del Sorbo MAGNUMS 1.5 Liter $230- 96 pts WA- “. The style straddles that wonderfully fine line between elegance and decadence. Very long finish with lingering notes of black truffles.”

2005 Quintarelli Valpolicella $110- needs NO intro. This is KILLER and IMPOSSIBLE to find, especially since the death of Giuseppe. Grab it.

2000 Quintarelli Amarone $625- 96+ pts WA-
A thing of beauty. This mid-weight, delicate red offers up a gorgeous array of crushed flowers, red berries and sweet spices in an ethereal style. As it sits in the glass the wine acquires concentration and richness. The wine possesses the grace of a ballerina, phenomenal balance and impeccable pedigree.”

2003 Quintarelli Amarone $400- 94 pts WA “ this wine is exceptionally balanced and polished. It lasts many long minutes thanks to enduring notes of polished stone, candied berry, balsam spice and medicinal herb. They enlighten the palate like the golden streak of a comet on a midnight sky.

2008 Conti Vistarino Pernice Pinot Nero $69- Organically farmed Pinot Noir from Pavia, just south of Milan in a cool climate little ‘pocket’. This ‘cru’ reminds me of a great Cotes du Nuits Burgundy such as Nuits St Georges- mineral and super fresh. WILL age well indeed. This is so cool and a fun wine to blind taste with fellow wine geeks to ‘stump’ them!

2011 Willakenzie Emery Pinot Noir $65- #1 American Pinot Noir of the Year- Decanter Magazine. Single vineyard Pinot from Willamette Valley, biodynamically farmed.

2009 La Fuga Brunello $57 92 pts TanzerSuperripe aromas of smoky red fruits, raspberry liqueur, minerals and maple syrup. Fat, plump and sweet, offering very good concentration of fruit and a silky texture. his suave, very deep, complex wine strikes me as the best La Fuga ever.”

2012 Saint Prefert Chateauneuf du Pape Reserve Auguste Favier $65- 94 pts WS (my guess is that this will be ON the WS Top 100 List this year, so GRAB IT) “Shows ample ripeness, with a fleshy feel to the melted licorice, warmed fig and plum cake flavors that pump along, carried by pastis, roasted apple wood and fruitcake notes. Features lots of well-embedded grip. Should cellar well.”

2012 Calera Chardonnay Central Coast $24.00 - 90 pts WA "Calera’s 2012 Chardonnay Central Coast
offers classic ripe apple and orchard fruits, creme and brioche in a medium-bodied, vibrant and clean style. Aged in 10% new French oak for 10 months, buy this beauty by the case and drink it over the coming couple of years."
