9th Annual Harvest Tasting Information
Well, we couldn't have ordered a more beautiful day for our 9th Annual Harvest tasting to benefit Turning Wine Into Water. If you haven't registered for today's event but would like to join us, please don't hesitate. We are always prepared for a large amount of door registrations. We encourage everyone to bring their friends. The more, the merrier! Below is helpful information regarding tonight's event.
  • The event is being held in the Iron Works building in South Norwalk located at 1 North Water Street. There is paid parking in the building and another parking lot located at the Locke Building on North Water Street just past the railroad underpass.
  • Tonight's event is from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. The owners of Iron Works have graciously donated their space for this event and to be respectful of their tenants we have promised them a clean lobby by 8:45 PM.
  • Cheese boards will be at each table. We suggest you clean your palate often to keep it fresh.
  • There's a lot to taste at tonight's event. If you see someone spitting wine into a bucket, they're not being rude. They are probably a professional. The key to successfully tasting a lot of wine is to stay sober by spitting. It's not rude, it's professional.
  • 90% of what you taste on your palate comes from your olfactory nerves. With that in mind we ask that you refrain from wearing cologne or perfume at tonight's event.
  • The people that are pouring wine tonight are wine professionals who have donated their time and wines for the event. Engage them for knowledge. They are quite smart about the wines they are pouring. We ask that you respectfully refrain from using the phrase, "Can I just get a glass of white wine?"
  • Have a great time but please remember why we are hosting this event, to build clean water wells and sanitation facilities for the poorest of the poor.
