Those with an affinity for red wines from Spain will appreciate the rustic style yet modern elegance of the Aster Crianza. It's produced by La Rioja Alta in the Ribera del Duero region using 100% tinta del pais - local dialect for tempranillo.

If point scores are your thing, Stephen Tanzer gave this 89 points and said "Deep ruby. Dried cherry, cassis and licorice on the pungently perfumed nose. Not bad for $16.00 per bottle. Price will hold until the wine is gone.
