Last week, we introduced the 2013 Mauro Molino Barolo as a "no brainer" Barolo. Its sleek, modern style, open palate and immediate drinkability make it a top value at $35. It was an instant success. This week, we'd like to introduce the 2016 Mauro Molino Barbera d'Alba. This fruit forward, harmonious wine is poised to become a best seller in our store. Perfect for Taco Tuesday, Meatloaf Wednesday or Friday Night Cocktails. We'll price the wine at $14.00 the bottle when it hits the shelves next week. Today through Saturday you can order a case for $144.00

“What makes Piedmont so attractive as a wine region is the range of reds born on its vine-laden hillsides. Dolcetto, Barbera, and Nebbiolo come in myriad styles and prices…” –Bruce Sanderson, The Wine Spectator

Mauro Molino Barbera d’Alba 2016
100% Barbera from proprietary vineyards in Annunziata La Morra and Guarene, where calcareous clay soils dominate. Maceration on the skins occurs in temperature controlled steel tanks for 6 days before fermentation begins. Aging then takes place in stainless steel to retain the wine’s vibrancy and freshness.
WS: 90 “This is lithe and harmonious, its blackberry and black cherry flavors building to a lingering finish. Accents of violet and spice add interest. Drink now. 700 cases imported.”
Pre-Arrival: $144 the case
