Intense ruby-red with violet reflections. The scent of plums comes through on the nose. Full-bodied and velvety with a perfect balance between the flavors of plum and woodberries. Hints of licorice persist in the finish. It is recommended that this wine have some time to open before drinking. Excellent with richly flavored dishes, particularly meats, small game and aged cheeses.

The outstanding 2003 Ramitello Rosso IGT is a blend of local grapes, including 80% Prugnolo and 20% Aglianico. Its big, rich nose of melted licorice, truffles, black currants, plums, and cherries is followed by a full-bodied wine with amazing concentration, beautiful sweet fruit, and admirable richness. This wine represents incredible value for the money.
