Rosenblum Appellation Series Paso Robles Zinfandel 2005
This rich, full wine exhibits the signature spicy earth tones that make Paso Robles Zinfandel so excellent. Combining two vineyards from both sides of the Salinas River contribute to the overall charm and complexity. In this wine you will discover flavors of rich cherry, black raspberry a touch of chocolate truffles and aromas of anise. While this is the ultimate grilled hamburger wine, it also goes great with pasta carbonara or marinated grilled pork tenderloin. Wine Enthusiast With its soft, melted mouthfeel and superripe blackberry marmalade, cherry sauce and cherry-chocolate flavors, this Zin exemplifies east side Paso. Many such wines are simple, sweet and rustic, but Kent Rosenblum lifts this one by making it dry, with layers of chewy, herb complexity. Score: 87. —Steve Heimoff, November 01, 2007. |
