The grapes in this bubbly come from vineyards located on the western slopes of the Eola Hills, which receive the full cooling effect of breezes through the Van Duzer Corridor. Occasionally Oregon experiences a particularly cool growing season which creates ideal conditions for the production of Champagne-style wines.

46% Zena Vineyard, Eola Hills
54% Temperance Hill Vineyard, Eola
VINIFERIA:
60% Pinot Noir
40% Chardonnay
ALCOHOL: 12.01%
Tasting Notes:
The Van Duzer Sparkling Wine is made in the traditional
methode champenoise manner from Pinot Noir (60%) and Chardonnay (40%). The grapes were whole-cluster pressed, barrel fermented in French oak and put through full malolactic fermentation. After six months
barrel aging, the wine was “tiraged” or bottled for secondary fermentation and left “en tirage” for five years to develop rounded creamy textures and flavors.
The color is a fresh, pale - gold color with wonderful long lasting small beads. On the nose, the scent of Champagne-like yeast leads to
apple, pear and vanilla flavors accented by a
touch of earth. The complex round, full texture is balanced by a crisp, long finish. A pleaser for any occasion.
